II. Non-Academic Education

Exchange Students: Based on inter-university exchange agreements, international students study and conduct research at QHHU, covering academic courses, cultural exchanges, and life experiences. Duration: One academic year or one semester.

Chinese Language Program students: International students will focus on Chinese language learning, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with a duration of 1-2 semesters.

Part 3: Admission Procedures

I. Eligibility Requirements

1. Applicants must have completed high school education or above and be at least 18 years old. They must be foreign citizens with valid ordinary passports who do not hold Chinese nationality in accordance with the Nationality Law of the People’s Republic of China.

2. In accordance with Article 5 of the Nationality Law of the People’s Republic of China, if both or one parent is a Chinese citizen and resides abroad, and the applicant acquires foreign nationality at birth, they do not hold Chinese nationality. To apply as an international student, in addition to meeting other eligibility criteria, the applicant must hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for 4 years or more (inclusive), and have actually resided abroad for more than 2 years within the most recent 4 years (up to April 30 prior to the enrollment year). An actual residence of no less than 9 months in a foreign country within a single year shall be counted as one full year, which shall be verified based on entry and exit endorsement stamps.

3. Residents from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions who have emigrated abroad and acquired foreign nationality are required to meet the same criteria as mentioned above when applying as international students.

4. Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy, meeting the medical examination requirements for applying for a Chinese visa or residence permit (including tuberculosis tests and chest X-rays as required by immigration authorities), and meeting the specific health standards for the applied major to ensure normal study and life in China.

5. Applicants must have no disciplinary records, no public security penalties, no criminal records, and must exhibit good conduct. They are required to abide by Chinese laws and regulations and respect Chinese customs and traditions.

II. Admission Methods

(1) Application Documents

Spring semester admission (in March): Application acceptance starts from September of the previous year; Autumn semester admission (in September): Application acceptance starts from March of the current year.

Required documents:

Scan and email the completed form along with other application documents (in PDF format) to the Email: hhgj@qdhhc.edu.cn,and may contact the admissions counselors of the School of International Education for guidance.


2. Provide a scanned copy of the passport identification page (the passport validity must be more than 6 months) and one recent 1-inch color passport photo (for student registration; no digital editing or Photoshop is allowed, and no covering of eyebrows, ears, or other facial features; the electronic version shall be in a clear JPG format).

3. Provide a notarized or authenticated graduation certificate of high school or above education in Chinese or English version, as well as academic transcripts of all grades from overseas high schools.

4. Submit the original documents and their translations of the unified high school examination results of the applicant’s home country or internationally recognized standardized test scores, which shall serve as the basis for admission and scholarship assessment.

5. Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) certificate (for applicants to academic programs).

6. The FOREIGNER PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FORM issued within the last six months by a hospital designated by the Chinese embassy or consulate overseas.

(2) Payment of Application Fee

2. Upon receiving the complete application materials and remittance proof, the University’s International Student Admission Review Committee will conduct a fair and impartial review of each applicant''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s documents.

3. After the admission list is determined, the university will officially notify the students of their admission results and send out an electronic admission letter and the JW202 visa application form (for those who need it); the remaining fees, such as tuition and accommodation fees, must be paid in full before the student reports to the university.

4. Admitted students are required to apply for a student visa to China at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in their home country, submitting the relevant documents.

(3) Registration Process

Students are required to register for admission according to the date specified in the admission notice. Failure to register on time without a valid reason will be regarded as voluntary withdrawal.

Note: After enrollment, the university reserves the right to re-verify the medical examination results and personal eligibility of new students. Should a student fail to meet the admission requirements, the university will revoke their admission qualification.
